Thermomix

Never heard of a Thermomix? It’s described as the “World’s smallest kitchen” which can replace many of the kitchen appliances already cluttering your benchtop and cupboards:ย blender, steamer, bread-maker, food processor, mixer, ice-cream machine, meat-mincer, yoghurt-maker, juicer, slow cooker, digital scales and more! The Thermomix is German-made, with only one model introduced every 15 years or so – these babies are built to last!

This neatly presented little whizz-in-the-kitchen chops, whisks, beats, kneads, minces, grates, juices, grinds, stirs, cooks and blends. It makes perfect risotto in under 20 minutes (stirring itself), creamy sorbet in a minute, kneads bread in under 2 minutes and your cake batters are mixed together within seconds!

If it sounds too good to be true, this is one of those rare anomalies – it IS as good as it sounds and then some! Here at Hot Pink Chilli, Treens and Jodi have one each (dubbed Tilly and Timmy respectively) and in them we mill our own flour from almonds, dried chickpeas or quinoa, mince our own meat and blitz LSA from scratch. We make our own almond milk; coconut butter and nut butters as well as create an endless variety of exciting smoothies and juices; knead grain-free pizza bases; temper raw chocolate from scratch and mix all our cakes batters and biscuit doughs. Anybody interested in finding out more, please let us know and we will put you in contact with our consultant, she is Thermo-addicted just like us!

  1. I’m so glad you both have a Thermomix! I look forward to seeing what will be produced in your Thermomix kitchens next ๐Ÿ˜‰ Love the pink!

    • Ooh yes Helene, My Timmy is my sous-chef – couldn’t do all this cooking and baking without him! Certainly makes my life easier, tastier and healthier! ๐Ÿ™‚ Welcome to HPC by the way, thank you so much for following! Jodi x

    How much is it?

    • Hi Vicki, (sit down ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) $1939. We couldn’t afford it so I became a consultant – if you sell 6 in your first 60 days you get yours 100% free, which I did and then stopped – consulting, not cooking! I haven’t sold for almost a year but am completely obsessed with my Thermomix and use it every single day – 6, 7 times a day at least!! Today I made yoghurt, kids breakfast smoothies, coconut milk, biscuit dough and teriyaki sauce. Would’ve been used more except I did all my meal prep earlier this week, for the week.

Hi, I just bought a thermie (and I love it so much)! So glad I found your blog as I have health issues and have just gone Paleo and am in need of thermomix recipes. Ha! Thank you so much for posting these!

    • Oh that’s awesome Miche – well I’ve only been paleo for 8 months now, when I got my Thermomix I was right into all the big ‘wheaty’ cakes and desserts but am now using it for good and not evil! Hee hee ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks so much for following! Jodi x

The most evil I have been is to make date, cranberry and cashew with coconut cashew cream balls, rolled in coconut! ๐Ÿ™‚ I am thinking about making something with dark chocolate. Now that would be naughty!

Any tips on selling!? I am just beginning my training & I have to sell the 6 in 60 days too! I still don’t have my machine, and I’m supposed to be doing demos in 2 weeks time. Haha ๐Ÿ™‚

    • That’s great Lucy, good on you!!! Tips? Practice as much as you can on yours at home before your first demo so that you can proficiently work it and make it look as easy as it is. The first demo was quite nerve wracking! Let your passion for cooking and your Thermie come across and then it will just well itself. Try go to a few demos with more experienced consultants, I STILL learn something new everytime I see a demo. Good luck! Let me know how you go ๐Ÿ™‚ โค Jodi
